Book Works

I seem to gather small groups of pictures with strong similarities, tucked away in files and unused, so to avoid this I make small handmade books. The process forces me to edit, print, and to sequence, and helps to find and build connections between images. Dealing with physical prints is especially rewarding in an age when we rarely hold a photograph in our hands.

Planning and making an artist’s book can be a great pleasure, and the technique and craft of turning papers, board, and prints into a finished work are seductive.
