This week I attended a talk by Master Printer Jack Lowe, whose cutting edge digital work sets industry benchmarks around the world. This [...] Three new pictures from February days spent wandering the streets of North East England, (leaning slightly to one side due to the weight of an overstuffed camera bag). Areas in which the ocean meets man made “environments” are old favourites for photographers. They often have blowing sand, odd mixes of plant species, and can be empty and desolate by night, with the constantly noisy and dense black backdrop of the sea. These pictures are part of a series of works in progress [...] Two more photo-gravures made using photopolymer plates. By the way there is an art in getting completely covered in printing ink! "Nautilus Study 1" and "Distant Shores" “Manuscript of Summer – Digitalis” is part of a limited edition of 10 pigment prints, and is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm.
